Your story is a recent experience so very much appreciated to see it in black and white...I had doubts that I was in the wrong.

I have bent over backwards for years for a 'friend' who has emotionally drained me. I have bent over backwards for years trying to help. Repetitively I got the silent treatment despite promises never to do it again. Then had to listen to all the same complaints. Now, After 6 months of no communication on their part I have washed my hands with no regrets. It was totally exhausting!
