I wasn't JUST talking about entering contests. As a newbie, everytime I push enter when submitting a story, I am waiting word from people who have been in this game longer than me for feedback. With a contest, it's do or die. My point was, it IS a remote chance of winning, so put your best foot forward in hope - but with the knowledge it's a fat chance.
