So interesting! As a nursing teacher, we preach Maslow and yet I've never liked the self-actualization step and the way he conceived it ( or I interpreted it!) It was like you had to be an olympian or professor to be self-actualized. Thanks for shedding light on the Blackfoot model. I love the community concept and the nourishment of traditions and culture within.
