So interested to read this, John. It was a phenomenon here in the last few years too; it always rendered me gobsmacked that someone could afford to purchase a property then demolish it! Then, they started leaving the exterior bones to avoid rebuilding costs. Lately, I haven't seen it so much because the price of a basic house has become ridiculous. So sad we live in such a materialistic world.
