KAren, that sounds like a positively frightening and horrid experience on Boxing Day. It worries me that our ER's cannot often cope with the overwhelming capacities they're thrown. So glad that you had a thoughtful nurse who - although was only doing his job - did it with kindness and compassion. I can't believe too that Ed tolerated that pain - it is exceptionally brutal when something is strangulated.
