We didn’t ask permission from the judges to save her. We didn’t need to. In days gone by, a woman’s health was a discussion she had with her physician. Not with appeals court judges or Supreme Court justices. Granted — knowledgeable individuals in their own fields — but completely clueless about how to care for a woman facing this kind of crisis.
