I'm really new here so I just used trial and error. You can only have a story in one publication. A lot of editors won't accept work even if you just self-published.

I scrolled through all the topics that interested me then read fiendishly stories within those topics and took note of where they were published. I then looked at the submission guidelines for each publication I thought suited my writing style.

The algorithm sends you stories based on your reading history as far as I understand, so broaden your reading and your reading suggestions will blossom from that.
