I'm a huge checklist fan - both at work and my day-to-day existence. We use them all the time training nurses so they can peer and self evaluate a procedure. Their only downside is that some students get fixated by the order of steps when sometimes it can be flexible or they try to memorize it rather than the flow of steps. As a part of their exam prep, I have THEM write the list!
