I need to blow off some cobwebs from my European travel diary from years ago after reading this. I didn't go to Auschwitz but the camp we did visit was thankfully not full of tourists ( that would have irked me no end even though I was one lol!!). Thanks for sharing this - and for your friends pics. The horrid thing is this shit is still happening ( and I recall those being my very words 30 years ago)
