I hear you, Viola. I grew up in a musical family and my sister was the only child that has continued the family genes. She has a PhD in music (piano) and teaches privately as well as adjudicates and writes musical reviews etc. It's a tough world to succeed in and you made this even more apparent.

I admire anyone who gets anywhere in a musical career. You should be proud of yourself not only for your own personal accomplishments but for writing about the real struggles none of us really know about.
