I too was au natural for my first-born. I loved the bath - swishing my body like a mermaid during contractions diminishing the pain significantly.

For # 2 and 3 I had an epidural; I did not want to go through that hell again! It took the edge off but was still able to feel the urge to push and produced 2 perfect babies way quicker than the first time round. Mindyou, it's normal for subsequent babies to come faster.
