I agree 100%! As a teacher, it is really challenging to bring my knowledge down a few notches so that students understand what I'm on about.

I'd take your point another step further by saying professionals ( and in my case, nurses) do complex tasks repeatedly but fail to remember the person at the receiving end may never have been exposed to what we're doing.
