Hi Shin

It’s nice to have a sensible debate about the topic — without getting nasty! I hope you saw my post as a constructive challenge more than a beheading?!

You are right; the anti-vaxxers do have an enormous platform already. They’re not interested in the science or the facts; they just go hardcore about stuff they hear and snag onto. I think my point here was they probably don’t read past a headline and then use it as ammunition without looking at all the great stats you had in your story.

My point about Polio and smallpox was more that in those two situations, vaccination was the factor in eliminating them. I know we are facing greater evils — anti-vaxxers, the internet and the ease of travel and thus ease of spread — and therefore the ability to eradicate a pandemic is becoming increasingly challenging.

It will be interesting as the facts come forth with co-morbidities, vaccination and death. It’s a day-to-day challenge for sure.

Kind regards!
