Excellent sleuthing! I don’t usually take any notice of topic tags unless I’m stumped for ones on my stories; then I go look at ones with the same theme.
I will most definitely be following your suggestions moving forward as it irks me no end what people do here to gain status. I’ve my own story brewing about the follow for follower problem.
