Day One Of The Resolutions I Never Made

I'm inflicted with the ‘why bother’ attitude since I always fail miserably.

I’ve been reading, listening and watching over the last couple of weeks as writers made their vows for 2024 like they’re heading up the aisle in marriage.

Loads of promises, but when reality sets in, it’s likely time to bail.

There was some smirking too; Roz Warren, Writing Coach tackled the subject perfectly, writing out OUR resolutions stemming from HER pet peeves.

I related to every one of them.

In the past, I’ve been one of those who have monumental ideas that fall substantially short mere weeks into the new year.

  1. I’ve promised to stop biting my nails for more years than I can count on two stubbly-nailed hands.
    I still do — 57 years later.
  2. I’ve promised to brave the elements — I’m talking mega minus temps here — and walk daily.
I haven’t. Let’s be honest, I loathe winter because I’m terrified of falling over and breaking something.
