As a nurse, and a teacher of nursing I totally relate to your article. When you know what you know and know what you don't know, you can practice safely. You don't jump in and do something because the Dr told you too if you know it's a task that isn't in your scope of practice.

It's the people who don't know what they don't know that cause immeasurable problems, steaming ahead and doing a procedure that they have no idea how to do. The consequences of their blind actions or words can have devastating effects.
