Although I will admit not having stepped into a library for years, they occupy a firm place in my childhood. A place to run your hands along the shelves and stop randomly to choose a book. The smell. The wonderment of SO many books! The dewey decimal system. The process to check out a book...
I will never be an electronic/digital book reader because part of the beauty was holding one in my hands, even if it were cumbersome, well-thumbed or subject to a dribble of coffee or juice.
Thank you for this beautiful piece, Katie!
