Mother. Nurse. Teacher. Crafter. Photographer. And now, writer…

Nurse. Teacher. Crafter. Photographer. Canadian; I am a woman who wears many hats but what defines me the most, is being a New Zealander and a mother.

“Why on earth did you leave New Zealand?”

This is often the first question I am asked after the inevitable clarification of where my accent is from — usually confused with being English or Australian; even after 25 years, I cannot shake it.

I came to Montréal with my husband…

My week in photographs; November 15–21, 2021

I was in a funk all week, and the weather certainly didn't help. I was uninspired to walk as it was frigid out, and therefore I had to depend primarily on subjects that fell at my feet — or under my nose.

Of course, I can always rely on Booboo.

November Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “3”

And scratching the itch.

I was thrilled to finally see pelicans in the flesh when we went for a sojourn an hour north of Sydney to Brooklyn back in 2016. They’re such beautiful, yet awkward-looking birds.

If they smell fish, they’re vultures!

I should be in Australia at this very moment reliving this memory. Sigh.

I may have one more submission up my sleeve for Mary Chang Story Writer’s November Power of “3” prompt. Check out the details here if you too have personal photos with the theme of ‘three’ in the subject matter.

My last submission was this one, also from an Australian visit.

Thanks again, Mary. You enticed me to scroll through my google photos and find some cherubs I’d quite forgotten about!
