27 Years Ago Today, We Landed in Montréal

Where on earth has that time gone?

I remember our arrival so well; Hannah was just 5-months old and roared the whole way to the hotel as she was starving. I had spent the approach in the cockpit and had failed in my motherly duties!

Then came our first winter; I recall seeing a few flakes and freaking out. Little did I know what we were in for. The referendum had me scratching my head, and the French language still gives me a headache.

As much as I loathe the cold, the politics and the never-ending road construction, Montréal is home. I’ve been here almost half my life!

I’m often asked if I would ever move back to New Zealand.

The answer is no; Life is too good here from various aspects.

But one should never say never!
